How To Apply

Think safety first and use proper personal protective equipment.

Make sure the area in which you are applying JB No Chew is well ventilated.

Product is black in color.

Use JB No Chew when temperatures are between 50 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Shake each can for 2 to 3 minutes before using!
This will insure proper distribution of not only the deterring ingredients but the asphalt base as well. The asphalt base will settle to the bottom over time and this will prevent the product from expelling properly. Proper agitation will insure maximum protection and consistent coverage. This product can not work properly if it is not shaken thoroughly!

Clean surface of debris. Hold can 16-20 inches from surface. Always apply JB No Chew in light, even coats allowing each coat ample time for drying. The coverage area is approximately 25 to 100 sq. ft. per can. The amount of JB No Chew to apply depends on the size of the animal and the surface material and texture of that material ( see coverage example below). Trees will require the most product per square foot and plastic requires the least. The larger the animal and rougher the surface the more light even coats will be required. If the animal is not deterred add more properly layered product to build it up.
JB No Chew will not work on all animals in all circumstances.

Clear the tip after every use.
Simply turn the aerosol can upside down and spray for approximately 5 seconds. This will expel excess product from spray tip and will prevent the spray tip from clogging. If clogging occurs twist and pull off spray tip to clean with mineral spirits.

Clean up wet JB No Chew with mineral spirits.

Coverage example: To protect a 12 inch diameter tree from #1100 lbs. horses you should use at least one can. You should be able to cover the trunk of this 12 inch tree from the ground up to 7 feet.
